Before & After -Workout

Question: If I use an electrical muscle stimulator that has met FDA regulatory requirements, will it give me the same kind of effect that lots of sit-ups, stomach crunches and other abdominal exercises will?

Answer: Applying electrical current to muscles  cause muscles to contract. Stimulating muscles repeatedly with electricity may eventually result in muscles that are strengthened and toned to some extent.  To gain  great results ,  combination of  healthy diet and regular exercise is plus.

I wanted to really test this device and see if its claims were true. Needless to say, after about 1 1/2 months of using mode 5 for 20-30 minutes a day at level of 5 or six on both the upper and lower regions of my abdominal muscles, i found noticeable improvement in muscle mass.

5.0 out of 5 stars  Easy to use it and I feel the difference in my muscle tone, November 15, 2011 By Gaja

I don’t want to do abdominal exercise that causes back pain to me. That’s why I bought this product to tone my abdominal muscles. It is easy to use it. You can use it any time. I feel the difference in my muscle tone. I really like it. The schematic presentation of normal treatment points was very useful. I didn’t compare this product with others.

I CAN HARDLY IMAGINE THAT THIS SMALL UNIT HAS THE PROGRAMS/MODES THAT GIVE SUCH FLEXIBILITY ALL IN ONE UNIT. I WAS EXPERIENCING LOWER BACK PROBLEMS AS WELL AS PAIN AND WEAKNESS. NOT ONLY AM I EXPERIENCING RELIEF BUT ALSO AM USING THE EMS FUNCTION FOR TONING MUSCLES .
I CAN ALSO SAY THE COMPANY OWNER ANSWERED SOME TECHNICAL QUESTIONS AND IS WILLING TO SUGGEST DIFFERENT METHODS TO GET BETTER POSSIBLE RESULTS.
I INVESTED MANY HRS ON THE INTERNET SEARCHING FOR A TENS/EMS UNIT. I AM MORE THAN SATISFIED WITH THE PRICE AND WARRANTY OF THIS PRODUCT.
I ALSO ESPECIALLY LIKE THE NEEDLE LESS ACUPUNCTURE FEATURE AND USING THE EMS MODE, MY ABS ARE BEING TONED AND STARTING TO LOOK LIKE A 6 PACK, AT 70 YRS OF AGE NOT BAD.

I used the massager to treat my right upper arm at level of 7. After a week, my pain was gone, but I don’t know why muscle grows like a big egg, I was little worried and had to see my doctor. After a thorough check including blood test, the doctor told me there was nothing wrong, the big part is just firm muscle. At this, I laugh and told everyone about this story. I really never expect to have muscle toned at age of 74.  I was pain free for a week and my biceps is still harder on that side versus the other side. It felt like I was working out. It has been a while, and my biceps still feels much more muscular on the used side.

I tried the therapy device in the mall on my tight shoulders several times. Now I feel much relaxed. It is so cool in design just like iPod, great sensations and very effective.  I immediately ordered 2  massagers for helping my students recover from the sports injury.

Working Out Your Abs – Muscle Stimulation vs Traditional Exercise

Often there is a misunderstanding on how muscle stimulation is used in relation to ab workouts. People typically assume that Muscle Stimulation takes the place of exercising, instead Muscle Stimulation should be used in tandem with exercising.

Muscle Stimulation works by sending small electrical impulses to the targeted muscle group resulting in contractions. Since individual muscle fibers can be completely exhausted in just a few seconds, the body has adopted several strategies to prolong endurance. Slow twitch (red) fiber is used first in voluntary contractions, as it is energy efficient, though not very powerful. Then only after the slow twitch fibers are activated, fast twitch (white) fiber is added to handle the load. Therefore, muscles work their individual fibers in relays, always holding some back from even the most demanding load to maintain reserve energy. This makes it impossible to voluntarily contract all of the muscle fibers simultaneously. Muscle Stimulation works directly on the muscles, bypassing the body’s energy conservation system, thus there’s no limit to the percentage of fiber that can be activated. This enables the body to create more energy and maximizes an individual’s physical activity potential. Thus, Muscle Stimulation “supercharges” the entire bio-scientific process and produces far greater and more efficient results in a shorter period of time.

When the body is involved with physical activity, the muscles mimic electric motors. The muscles use a chemical called adenosine triphosphate (ATP) as a source of energy, much like an electric motor uses current. The primary function of ATP is the transfer of energy from one location to another rather than the long-term storage of energy, thus the muscle needs to “burn” ATP effectively. The “burning” of ATP require muscles to need three of the following things: oxygen, eliminations of metabolic wastes, and the ability to dissipate heat. Muscle Stimulation assists the muscle to more efficiently complete the ATP burning process, which gives the body more sustainable energy. Like mentioned above, Muscle Stimulation triggers all of the muscle fibers to work together which causes the muscle to generate more oxygen and greatly increases the ability to dissipate heat more efficiently. Thus, this will enable the abs to endure more physical activity and Muscle Stimulation maximizing your ab workout.
